Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Trombingo ("the app", "the service"), a game that helps teammates learn each other's faces and names from their Slack workspace, operated by the Trombingo team. By signing in or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Trombingo lets members of a Slack workspace play a timed guessing game built from their colleagues' Slack profile photos, and keeps a leaderboard per workspace. The service is provided free of charge and may change over time.

2. Eligibility and Slack authorization

To use Trombingo you must be a member of a Slack workspace that has the app installed. Installing the app to a workspace may require workspace-owner or administrator approval, and you represent that you are authorized to grant the requested permissions for that workspace.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the app respectfully and only with workspaces and colleagues you are entitled to access.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Do not use the app to harass others or in any way that violates your organization's policies or applicable law.

4. Relationship with Slack

Trombingo is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Slack. "Slack" is a trademark of Slack Technologies, LLC. Your use of Slack remains governed by Slack's own terms.

5. Intellectual property

The app, including its design and code, belongs to its operator. Profile photos and names shown during a game belong to your workspace and its members and are displayed only to run the game.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. A workspace owner or admin may uninstall Trombingo, which ends access for that workspace. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
